Eligibility
- A minimum 2.2 Honours degree or international equivalent, ideally in a subject related to health or social care
- If you don’t have a 2.2 Honours degree or international equivalent in a related subject, equivalent professional qualifications/personal experience may be considered. Such applicants may also be required to complete an online interview
- A personal statement of around 300-500 words.

Assessment methods:
- 50%: Where I am now – a reflection on leadership attributes and approach, integrating and analysing established theories (2500 words)
- 50%: Where I am going – a professional development plan focused on enhancing leadership skills and based on established approaches to learning (2500 words)
- Utilise a systematic understanding of security valuation, investment appraisal, the relationship between risk and return, the cost of capital, capital structure, and dividend policy
- Evidence a critical appreciation of the most important assumptions underlying the strengths and weaknesses of financial theories and frameworks by solving financial management problems through the selection and application of appropriate techniques
- Select, use, and demonstrate understanding of advanced project management tools and techniques relevant to planning, managing, and controlling a complex engineering project involving a wide range of resources within the workplace environment
- Construct and convey to a range of stakeholders, a fully detailed contract / project proposal, including appropriate cost estimates and seeking appropriate guidance with respect to relevant legal and ethical issues

- Project management project proposal and plan (70%)
- Financial management online assignment (30%)
- Apply concepts such as complexity and systems theory to the role of a healthcare leader
- Identify and implement evidence-based approaches to enhancing healthcare quality and safety
- Assess, identify and mitigate risk in healthcare, encompassing an understanding of systems and human factors
- Convey complex information effectively and accurately, integrating reference to supporting literature
Assessment methods
- 50%: Commentary on a primary research paper related to quality improvement (2500 words)
- 50%: Analysis of an example patient safety incident (2500 words)
- Understand the global policy context for healthcare delivery and how this impacts on the role of leaders
- Critically and systematically evaluate the opportunities and challenges presented by different models of healthcare delivery
- Convey complex information effectively and accurately, integrating reference to supporting literature
Assessment methods
- 50%: 10-minute presentation exploring any aspect of your national/local healthcare policy
- 50%: Supporting narrative for the presentation, including an account of the historical development of the policy (2500 words)
- Reflect upon and evaluate your own approach to leadership
- Develop evidence-based approaches to professional development that enhance your own performance as a leader
- Identify and implement evidence-based approaches to enhancing healthcare quality and safety
- Systematically search for, select, appraise and analyse literature that supports change in healthcare practice
- Select and apply evidence-based methods and strategies to effect change in healthcare settings
- Use data and critical reflection to evaluate the success or otherwise of changes to practice
- Articulate the key role of research and other forms of evidence as the foundation for informed decision-making in healthcare
- Convey complex information effectively and accurately, integrating reference to supporting literature
